settling in

Me and the ridiculous amount of baggage. Hahah!

At Docklands waterfront

Nice (:
With her new-found hat

Coconut chocolate and Pina colada chocolate!
She got wonky about pics after getting her hat

Super nice Vietnamese restuarant!

"Apple's MINE!" omg.

My fully-packed closet

Hmmm pastries, cakes and sweet stuff!

Hmmm! I spent like what, 66 bucks on groceries yesterday?! Mad rush going to Preston Market and then to Coles (local supermarket) for my food which I hope, will last me for two weeks. Right now I'm pretty stocked with fresh veg, meat, canned soup, my indulgence of yeo's chrysanthemum tea and yakult (so freaking ex here) and fruits and breakfast! Hahahah.

Just now me Reg and Shuqi went to pao wontons! :D I daresay Mummy will be proud of me when she sees it, looks like all my poking into the kitchen at home hasn't gone to waste! Hahhaha.

So last week Paps and Mum went back and I was left to meet Susie Dewanti! Toured city for two days wit her and she went back :( one friend less in melbourne. Ohwells! I suppose I should start some reading soon cuz I'm kinda like outta touch with my subjects.

School timetable looks manageable - more packed on Mondays and Fridays, but other days kinda end early or I have to attend only for certain weeks. Yay! Seriously coming here is like going on a longggg holiday - with just the right amount of work and stuff to keep me focused.

When I was at town I saw so much FOOD CRAFTS and people! Hehehhh. And I got bubble tea for 3 bucks! That's the standard here anyway. Kinda gets me thinking about the 2.50 charkwayteow and 2bucks rojak I have under my house. Anyway the weather here is rather dry so its moisturize x3! But today has been good so far - cool temp, lovely winds, warm sun! Perfect for a walk!

My time here is probably a really good period to reflect upon myself and my lifestyle and perhaps the on-goings in my life. Life here is more relaxed, people take to enjoying, I dress however I want, there's so much more visual beauty to appreciate. Then again, it's where I will lack the home-cooked soup, the languages I usually speak, the food and culture I have been so used to, and of course, the people important.

Hmmm luckily the honey I bot is nice. Nice honey is impt. I have tons of drinks in store now! Hmm should I buy an owl figurine from the sunday market at my school carpark? I bought a book! woohoo. Building up my library. And I saw so many nice things I would wanna put in my house! Was thinking, if I start looking for decorative stuff to place in my house only nxt time, wouldn't that be a little late? Mite not even find the stuff I like so much either. As we were saying, things may only happen at that time. Time to make the most of it!

+ something new

Hahha three days have been gone! Fast.

Okay, yah I emo-ed on the plane once I sat down and it started to take off. And I cried while reading the stuff I got (so sweet, I couldn't get any sweeter myself!) and then tried to calm down and cried some more and then went to watch a movie and then fell asleep. Flight was okay but didn't sleep much. Thank goodness for the car so afterwards we went ard shopping and I cld snooze!

My room's pretty neat and set up now! Hahah. Man. It's really almost like creating a brand new space of yourself. Heh! It's next to a lake and once I step out there's really strong wind most of the time! The kitchen's pretty clean but there are few ppl in my level for now. Now I'm also not that crazy about taking photos yet cuz whaddya know, there's a whole year for that (:

There was orientation briefing plus a free lunch and this evening a free pizza party! More for international students to get know each other. Hahah. So interesting to talk to people! There are like HongKongers and Malaysians and Thais and stuff! Tho i noticed Asians tend to stick tgt and Caucasians to their own. o_o

Usually, just a smile and everything else goes. Better still if you speak a common language. Hahah! So lovely to speak Canto again.

Leaving does bring out the oddest in people sometimes.

I can totally imagine Joel's expression after knowing that I was entering the gates earlier.. Q5 took a cab to the airport to get there just in time! Ohmygosh. It's amazing. I dont' know about them, but I know it in myself that I was super happy and touched. And all that stuff written in cards and all! (: To me, probably one of the best gifts you can give someone is your time and yourself. And it never hurts to let someone else know how you feel about them, esp if its positive.

When the feeling's mutual, I love it.

静静闭上眼

Had a light-hearted moment with my mom earlier, during breakfast/brunch.

Mum: Last time can't even finish one thosai..
Me: Yah, now eat thosai and chee cheong fun right! Plus one drink.
Mum: Yah lor.. (stares into space)
Me: (Looks at Mum's waist) So.. what's his name?
Mum: (short pause) Spare tyre.

LOL.

Hahah. Like I said, moments like these can bring out the best in some people. Quirky and odd. I love phone calls! Okay random. I mean I love just catching up over phone and telling people just the little things in my life. That's what catching up is about anyway. Fought the shadows in the mind. I'm clearer, more at peace and woo! it's time to fly.

Because i wuv you (:

Woohooo!

I don't know how I really came up with this blog name, but ohwells! New start, new blog, new friends, everything new! Though it's a darn good thing I'll be bringing some part of Singapore with me over. Hahahs.

I daresay I'm pretty lucky to have such good friends, odd people to listen to me talk rubbish without being exactly very specific about what I'm saying, friends willing to accomodate me and do what I want, chatty Badriah to fill up my space. So many misses I'm gonna have! And it's been pretty long since I last blogged because somehow I just ran out of juice of what to say, perhaps.

I love the holidays I had and am having - plenty of time to sleep in, have breakfast at a leisurely pace with my grandma, appreciate her cooking, chatting with her, spending time as and how I want to, meeting up with friends and taking crazy pictures, getting free neoprints haha, and so much more! Familiarity is probably the lost key when I go over. But still! It's bringing a part of me and leaving the rest to be discovered.

I've grown - and I'll keep growing. There's so much more to learn and experience. I hope when I come back I'll get to do stuff like LaserTag, paintball, whitewater-rafting, more holidaying in Taiwan, Philippines?, Laos and lead my fulfiled life. Excitingness! Nonetheless I might sometimes think of what I have here in Singapore, but I'm sure I'll keep myself occupied such that I won't be homesick! Another idea to keep in mind is to bring my grandma to Cameron Highlands!

2010 does really seem to fly by. World Cup is almost ending, it's mid-year already, and what do you know, pretty soon I'll be back! Heehehhe. Time to make the most of it - my adventure of a lifetime!

It's the little things that make me - the little actions, the sacrifices that I may see but not mention there and then, the feeling of warmth we have.. I believe that if I love you, I would have told you or shown in some way or another. Perhaps it's the pre-flying blues. But I really really love you, and I'm not afraid to say that.
